Frank Joshua is a London-based singer-songwriter releasing emotionally intelligent, cinematic pop under a deliberate 'No Face💙Just Music' ethos. Drawing on a musical life that stretches back to his teens when two distinct groups of friends pulled him simultaneously toward Bowie and indie on one side, and soul, funk and jazz on the other, Frank came back to music later in life with a clarity and perspective he hadn't had before.
That return produced a remarkable body of work. Since signing with independent label Numen Records and releasing his debut single ‘Panic In The Kitchen’ in Dec 2020, Frank has had fifty releases, including four albums, all crafted in close collaboration with producer Tony White, a creative partnership spanning more than twenty years. Critics have reached for Talk Talk's later records, Scott Walker, Jacques Brel, Marc Almond, Peter Gabriel and The Blue Nile to locate what he does; Thomas Dolby has praised his "very sensitive vocal performance." His music has been covered across more than fifty outlets internationally.
The faceless approach isn't a brand strategy. "Part of it is shyness, to be honest," Frank has said, "but it's also about keeping the focus on the music. The mystery wasn't calculated; it's just me being more comfortable behind the music than in front of it."
His fiftieth release, Houston, came out in June 2026. Cinematic, slightly haunted, and described by early reviewers as "another bright example of Frank Joshua's skill of giving difficult emotions a clear voice." Making music, Frank has said, can feel like shouting into the void. "But when someone hears themselves in what you've made, that connection makes it all worthwhile."
